Oftentimes parents tend to deprive their children of some many activities because they may not be aware that those activities contributes to the child's learning. Engaging children in educational activities improves their cognitive, social and emotional development. This activities do not only stimulate their curiosity but also lay foundation for lifelong learning in them. 

Though if you as a parent is not involved in the educational activity, it is still good you are mindful of the kind of children they play with. Sure the activity can result to violence because children at such age may not be able to handle defeat or underperformance in games.
